Every day I check my mail,
16 steps to the hallway
downstairs.

6 mailboxes including mine,
some with lots of mail.

Me, all I get are advertisements,
unwanted junk mail.

Some day I would like to
walk down those 16 steps

and be surprised and delighted
by a lovely letter from a woman.
