ten gallon aquarium
always swimming
back and forth
and I have to ask
do you ever get bored
of just swimming
back and forth
or are you even capable
of boredom like me?
are you even capable
of a single thought?
but wait, when I approach
your aquarium, you know food
is on the way
that seems to suggest that
at least you think of food
same as me right now
the difference is you
are thinking of fish flakes
I’m thinking of ice cream.
