Art Bell, Red Eyes, and Trapped Ghosts

Been listening to old Art Bell
Coast to Coast shows
on YouTube lately
the Ghost to Ghost ones

on those shows
I often hear Art Bell say
red eyes worry him

makes me wonder
if Art ever saw an entity
with malevolent red eyes
and freaked out
I know I’d be freaked out
if ever I saw a red-eyed entity

Art often had concerns that
maybe ghosts that appeared
in houses and other locations
said it’s sobering to consider

were trapped on the earth plane
forever

instead of moving on to
somewhere else in the afterlife

these ghosts he’s referring to
are not the residuals
imprints of a person who
died from a suicide, a murder
or a tragic accident
like a movie scene
playing over and over
the deceased not there
gone somewhere else

Art means the interactive
ghosts

a chilling in the air, sounds,
voices, touches, visions,
objects missing or moving
a ghost that seems trapped
in a particular location

it does make one wonder
why these entities appear
stuck in those locations
instead of moving on

are they too attached to
the earth plane or for
inexplicable reasons afraid
to move on?

Are they at those locations
occasionally but residing elsewhere
in the great beyond
most of the time?

I can understand why Art sees
their earthbound situations
as terrible plights

and ghosts seemingly
trapped in haunted locations
are one of the many
mysteries in this world
I cannot figure out

but right or wrong
I believe when I die
all those mysteries
will be revealed to me

and I just realized I was
writing about Art Bell
mostly in the present tense,
as if he were still living
instead of passed on

in spite of that, I feel
absolutely certain
that though Art Bell has
left this world
he is somewhere wonderful
and not a trapped ghost.

Listening to Old Art Bell Coast to Coast Show About Ghosts

I’m always amazed at all the people
who have seen or experienced ghosts
hearing about some now on Art Bell’s
old Coast to Coast show on YouTube
Art had a lot of those ghost shows
sad he’s been dead since 2018
hope he’s not just a ghost now
hopefully he’s in a beautiful place
he and I have two things in common
both served in the US Air Force
but in my case I just endured
wasn’t cut out for military conformity
both had wives from the Philippines
his stayed with him till he died
after four years in the Philippines
mine left me a year after I brought
her to American, got materialistic
wasn’t that way in the Philippines
but in retrospect it was for the best
getting back to the reports of ghosts
I’m grateful I’ve never seen one
I’m glad I’ve never experienced one
but enjoy hearing about spooky stuff
and with all the reports of ghosts
believe there is something to it
some appear to be just impressions
not at all interactive, like a movie
some are frighteningly interactive
a chill in the air, sounds, touches
objects moving, the worst is when
one stares straight at you
your hair standing up on end
your body trembling with fear
scared of what it might do to you
the worst is when one follows
you home and you become haunted
I hope that never happens to you.

The Highway Ghost Girl

Here in America in many states
people report a young woman
hitchhiking on a highway
in the dark of night

when some kind soul
gives her a ride
she gets in the car
and acts a little off

usually she’s wearing
something like a prom dress
in variations of the allegedly
true story

she tells the driver to stop at a cemetery
gets out of the car and walks into it

as if it were the most natural thing in the world
to enter a cemetery in the dark of night
if followed, she disappears

in some tellings of this tale
sometimes a smitten young man
supposedly gets a date with her
before she gets out of the car

when he goes to her address days later
for the date, her mournful mother opens
the door and says her daughter died years ago

I don’t know what this ghost girl’s name is
but I know with talk of her appearing in many states
throughout the U S of A, she sure gets around.

Intelligent Ghosts

There are intelligent ghosts,
and they can interact with you.

The worst is when they look at you
and whisper your name.

If that isn’t enough to freak you out,
you might feel one touching you.

They can make you feel icy fingers
or freezing breath on your body.

They can make things go missing
or move in your home.

When they’re around, the air gets cold
and follows you from room to room.

Lights in your house may mysteriously
go on and off.

My advice to you, stay away from the
haunts of ghosts and ghost tours.

You never know when an intelligent
ghost might be watching you

and decide to follow you home.

The Moaning of Ghosts in the Cemetery

After he moved to a house next to a cemetery
he began hearing ghosts moaning in the cemetery.
When he told friends about the moaning and invited them to his house to show them the proof, none
of them heard the sounds of the ghosts.
He stopped telling others about the moaning and
wondered if they were all in his head, wondered
if he was going crazy.
But the day came when he found out he
wasn’t hearing things; he wasn’t crazy.
That day was the day he was dead, buried in the
cemetery and moaning with the rest of the ghosts.

Haunted House

Hills house is haunted
of that there is no doubt.
There ghosts, a man, a
woman and a child, are
interactive there. They
chill the air, move items
around, make their dead
voices heard from time
to time, and appear and
disappear in front of
terrified people who go
into the house. All this
makes me wonder why
they hang around in an
old house. Based on NDE
reports, I would think
they’d have better lives
in a wondrous afterlife.
I have to wonder if dying
numbs the spirits of some
of the dead and leaves
them directionless and
unaware of the afterlife
beyond the limitations of
the earthly life they seem
stuck in and acting out in
ad infinitum.

The Hitchhiker Effect Or Paranormal Contagion

You decide to visit haunted houses
In the city you live in.
An exciting event in your life.
A fun night with potential thrills.
A tour for a bargain price.
Six haunted houses in all.
The first five a bust.
No ghosts. No thrills.
Number six does not disappoint.
The air chills, feels heavy.
You get the feeling something is watching you
You sense it is dangerously evil.
By now you are freaking out.
And wishing you never went on the tour.
You excuse yourself.
And get the hell out of the house.
You jump in your car and drive home,
Relieved to be safe
And out of that evil house.
At your home you undress
And change into your night clothes.
You get in bed and turn out the light.
The air in your bedroom
Gets chilled and feels heavy.
You scream louder than ever in your life
Before you pass out.

High Strangeness at Bradshaw Farm in Sedona, Arizona

Orbs and lights constantly appear.
Glittering particles in the air.
UFOs in night skies.
Shadow people and aliens.
Bigfoot and even stranger cryptids.
Giant creatures reported too.
Supposedly even a dinosaur sighting
that left large reptilian tracks on the farm.
Three toed tracks found as well.
Poltergeist activity, objects moving
through the air.
Invisible entities everywhere.
Some detected with advanced electronic equipment.
Portals, vortexes, interdimensional openings
and hot spots – gateways to good and nasty beings.
Ghosts and sometimes a coolness in the air as well.
Many strange mysterious experiences reported,
the high strangeness of Bradshaw Farm.

Something Dark and Evil

Hunting ghosts in an old abandoned hotel,
Got the feeling things weren’t going to go well.

When my partner Jimmy Moore opened a door,
He said he saw a ghost crawling on the floor.

He walked into the room and I heard him yell.
He sounded as if he’d been pulled into hell.

I searched the room and found not a trace of Jim
And had no idea of what had happened to him.

Then I saw something scary next to a wall.
Jimmy had become a ghost starting to crawl.

I ran the hell out of that eerie hotel,
Got sick in my head that night, never got well.

The police did a search and never found Jim
But I know something dark and evil got him.

The Orbs Come Out at Night at Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery in Chicago

If you’re crazy or brave enough to walk through Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery at night,
you get the eerie feeling you’re not supposed to be there.

It’s deep in the forest and the road to it is closed off, and when you cross the threshold into it,
you feel like you’re in a strange forbidden world, and the spirits are restless there.

An old farmhouse that’s like a mirage might materialize momentarily before you, and you might see the ghosts of gangland hits that allegedly were dumped in a deep algae-covered pond there.

And maybe you’ll see the lighted orbs that come floating out at night, blue, red, white, orange and all colors and sizes.

Some people think they are spirits, but nobody really knows what they are for sure.

Maybe there’s a rational explanation for these orbs that would debunk the paranormal claims, but whatever the case, at least they’re not malevolent and won’t try to possess you — far as I know.

But if you go there, cross your fingers, just in case they might, to seek some luck and be armed with the holy cross.

Witches Graveyard in Putnam County, Tennessee

Also called Stamps Cemetery located in
the mountains of East Tennessee.

Some graves new, many old
and decaying,
made of sandstone.

Inverted stars on a few graves,
mistaken for pentagrams,
which is why the cemetery is
wrongly thought to have
evil witches buried in it.

Some old Tent stone graves,
two long thin slabs propped up
against two triangular caps
at the ends, often with
headstones – maybe to protect
corpses from animals. Maybe
just tradition.

Many people named Stamps
buried there, one named
Stanford Stamps born in 1811,
died in 1895, age 84.

No witches, only about 80
regular people buried there.

Many tombstones from the 1800s.
More are new.

No ghosts, maybe the Stamps
Cemetery is too boring for them,
or the good religious mountain
people all went to heaven
instead of hanging around dead.

Some old graves had flowers
in front of them. Many had coins
on the tops of the tombstones.

Perhaps the coins were symbols
of good luck in the afterlife.

No one seems to mess with the
coins, perhaps for fear
of being cursed or
out of profound respect
for the dead.

The cemetery is serene
with only the sounds of
birds chirping in the background.
Perhaps the birds are singing
sweet dirges for the dead.

Got a good peaceful feeling
seeing that cemetery on YouTube,
wouldn’t mind being buried in a
peaceful cemetery like that
when I die.

A Broken Heart and A Missing Person in Louisiana

In Louisiana where he lived, he drove around one night
like a madman in his old Honda trying to forget his ex

who despite being engaged to him and planning
on marrying him

left him for his friend who was going to be
his best man at their wedding.

He drove on highways and byways all over Louisiana,
but still couldn’t get her out of his mind.

The break up, the end of the engagement
and the marriage

were too big a heartache for him and
when the police raced after him for speeding

he lost control of his mind and became
even crazier and more reckless.

Miraculously, he escaped from the police,
and seemed to have vanished from this earth.

He was never found, but there’s a crying male ghost
that appears at the shores of Lake Pontchartrain,

and there might be an old Honda buried in
the water there.

Three Ghosts of the Rehoboth Cemetery in Rehoboth, Massachusetts

A sinister little boy
dancing around
gravestones asks
visitors to stay and
play with him.

A woman in white
hovers above
the gravestones
but says nothing.

A man in dark
19th century
clothes named
Ephraim with dark
sockets in place
of eyes, said to
yell at women
and scare them
away.

What to make
of these ghosts
I cannot say.

But many claim
to have seen them.

And maybe these
spirits are real,
but the bigger
question is if
they are real,
why are they
still on earth
and not
elsewhere
in the afterlife?

Ghost Hunters

Wouldn’t want to be a ghost hunter
if ghosts are real

Imagine if they are real and you
encountered one

and it decided to follow you home
to haunt and terrify you

and you couldn’t protect yourself
from what you could not strike or stop

Imagine if it pervaded your dreams
and every part of your life

as if it had totally possessed you
like a demon from hell

Unless you were made of sterner stuff
that haunting possession

might drive you full blown crazy

And there’s this saying when you go
looking for the paranormal
the paranormal comes looking for you

But when you see ghost hunters
on TV none of them seem to have
this happen to them

But that’s TV and you can’t always
believe what you see on TV

Whatever the case ghost hunting
would never be for me
