Despite all the evil in the world,
goodness abounds.
Despite the murders, the rapes,
the pedophilia, goodness abounds.
At times when I feel down about it
I remember goodness abounds.
But I often wonder why we have
to have so much evil in this world,
why evil also has to abound.
Best I can do, is just try to accept
the world for the way it is, and
take heart in what I see is not
forever. When death comes, none
of it will ever affect me again.
