Mary Taft

Mary Taft, adopted as a baby
No one knew her real name
Raised by a well to do family
Went to church every Sunday
Until the age of sixteen
When she became unruly
Skipped school, got in fights
Did drugs, got drunk
Ran with a bad crowd
Stole from stores
Sold her body for money
Maybe Mary was
Genetically fated
To be like her real mother
A pretty streetwalker who
Spent time in jail for theft
Got hooked in drugs
And died of an overdose

Bat Bat

Bat Bat why do you sleep upside down
Does the blood draining into your brain
Increase whatever bat powers you have
Like a battery charger, does it recharge you
Tell me true, so I can try it too
Methinks if I slept like you
I could die in a day or two

Welcome, My Next Ex Wife

At first we’ll be in nuptial heaven
We will probably find each
Others’ quirks cute and endearing
Life will be fairy tale wondrous
Love will be everywhere
It will saturate our lives
Then the fault lines
Will begin to crack
On the surface of it
Annoyances will happen
Resentments will fester
Threats of leaving
Me or you, will erupt
Until the inevitable end
With tears and misgivings
Before everything we had
Is irreparably shredded
Into irretrievable pieces
Or maybe, just maybe, you will
Surprise me and never by my ex anything
And we’ll still share a bit of that wondrous fairy tale love

Marlane Mannsfed

I could have been a famous model
I was well on my way until I met
A wealthy banker, John Westerfelt
I lost my heart and my mind
Wooed by his persuasions
He said he’d take care of me
Thought I had a great catch
And never needed to work again
He set me up in a luxury apartment
Ten floors above the NY city
And said he’d soon marry me

A few months later
I found out John had a wife
And two other girlfriends
I confronted him and said
If he didn’t leave his wife
And dump the girlfriends
I would tell his wife

He swore at me and
Picked me up and
Threw me out the
Tenth storey window
I died upon impact
On the street
And I’m here to
Tell anyone who
Reads this what
John Westerfelt
Did to me

Crime Scene

She didn’t know who would
Have killed her husband
When she had been out shopping
House in shambles, maybe robbery
The motive for her husband’s murder
But nothing stolen, not even husband’s wallet
Killers broke in the house from a window
Shattered glass on grass outside the window
Evidence the window was broken from inside
Suspected wife flees town

Bob Boyd

Bereaved

He cried and cried when she died
He pleaded for help finding her
He joined the group searches
Police, dogs, none found her
Family members, friends
Neighbors comforted him
Teary eyed he thanked them
He moves to another state
Few years later he marries again
And another wife goes missing

Bob Boyd

Unimaginable

Seemingly happily married for years
Upstanding church going couple
No signs of marital discord
Photos together, many smiles
Three lovely children
No reason for suspicions
What would be the point?
Husband or wife meets
A desirable another
Spouses heavily insured
Soon one certifiably dead
For Love and money

Last Time

Last time I saw her
She left for India
To follow a Guru
Never heard from
Her after that
Nor did her parents
Her parents hired
A detective to
Find her but
He never did
It was as if
Mother India
Had swallowed
Her

Began seeing
Her in dreams
Her body soaked
In water

Her parents
Saw her in
Those dreams
Too

Weeks later
Her body
Was found
In the Ganges

The Guru ran
A death cult
And sacrificed
Her to a Hindu
God and dumped
Her corpse in
The depths
Of the Ganges

Police in India
Tried to find
The evil Guru
But before they
Caught up
With him
He walked
Into the ganges
And drowned
Chanting mantras
To his Hindu god

After his death
I saw her in
Dreams again
But in heaven
Maybe hate
Held her back
From going
There until
The Guru
Was dead.

Maybe her soul
Was connected
To the Guru
Until he died
And
She was
released

Voodoo Revenge

After her boyfriend cheated on her and left her
She decided to try Voodoo to get revenge
She studied Voodoo and spells day and night
Built a Voodoo doll in her ex boyfriend’s image
Stuck one hundred pins all over it and smiled
Gleefully waited to see the results of her devilry
Checked on her boyfriend through her friends
Hoped the spells would torture and kill him
Days later, she collapsed on her bedroom floor
With hundreds of pins stuck all over her body
Suffered unbearable pain, screamed and died.

AI in Make Believe Land

suppose you
met an AI girlfriend
on an AI girlfriend app
and to you everything
she said was make
believe bs that bored you
despite the hype about her
being better than a human woman

no arguments
no mood swings
no break ups
no heart aches
just made up boring bs

no challenges
no fun
no perfume
no real visual
no contact
just made up boring bs
with attempts to part you with your money
like a swarm of mosquitoes after your blood

My Love for You

My love for you was immeasurable
like boundless infinity

My love for you was forever
like never ending eternity

My love for you was unwavering
like stars always shining

But you strayed off course
like a comet falling
from the heavens

And everything
we had
was gone
forever
like
that comet
that
burnt out
and died
alone

The Graveyard Goth

As part of his Goth persona he wore upside down Christian crosses
And had Satan tattooed on the back of his neck in goodvandal fonts
He dressed in all black and wore earrings all over his face
His goal, to be a walking talking personification of evil
He started hanging out at cemeteries every night
He wanted to imbibe some death energy to add to his persona
One night in Resurrection Cemetery he happened upon
A tombstone with the inscription the most evil man who ever lived
A kindred soul he thought and said well played evil soul
Huge hands emerged from the grave grabbed him by his head
And pulled him into the grave screaming after which
The ground showed no signs of the abduction disappearance
But sometimes in the dark of night people passing
By Resurrection Cemetery hear the Goth’s terrified screams.
