To my surprise
the days don’t
pass slower
now that I’m
retired and
not working
anymore.

I thought the
days would
slow down
when I wasn’t
as busy as
when I worked.

But the days
pass by
just as fast,
and I suspect
they’ll pass
faster and
faster and
hasten me
sooner to
my expiration
death date,
which I think
will happen
in less than
six short years
despite feeling
healthy and
well now.
